Poor FM reception

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a 2012 A7 for a few months now and I was loving the MMI system and the sound from it. But all of a sudden the FM radio reception has gotten really poor, in fact it doesn't even list all the possible stations, and I have to manually search for them, as poor as they are, and save them in favourites.  All the radio stations where perfect before this started last week. Anyone else have this issue or know what's wrong. Cheers.

I have since done a diagnostics with a new Launch diagnostic tablet I bought, and in the couple of faults that showed up, there indeed was a fault with the antenna cable, telling me that it is down to earth. I was surprised that a diagnostic tool would pick up something like this. I know have to locate the problem with the antenna cable.

Can anyone give some more advice on this issue, I have read that it I should check the connections on a deversity switch in the rear boot panel passenger side, but I would like some more information on the exact location of this device, and how to remove the rear panels witout damaging them. I have tried to remove both panels on either side of the booth but it doesnt seem to be an easy job. Cheers.
