Hi would anyone know how to silence my alarm it keeps going off randomly and key fob has no effect turning it off

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. You sure there's not a fly ect in the car? 

Or lock the car with someone inside to test the fly theory. 

I think the alarm is in the boot 

If I recall correctly if you lock the car manually with the key instead of electronically with the fob, the alarm does not set. On the other hand it has been three years since I sold my A3 so memory may be letting me down. It does all too frequently of late.
