Good evening, just after some advice please. My daughter has recently bought a Audi A1 1.6 tdi 2012.

it has developed a noise when the car is under load. I have attached a video of myself with the car in gear and my foot on the brakes. As you can hear when I lift the clutch and the engine loads the noise begins.

Sorry Martin, I will not download anything from an untrusted source. If you would care to put it on Youtube for example I will be happy to watch it.

If it's bought within the last 30 days from a dealer get it back to them asap for them to fix. They have a duty to fix it free of charge.

I wonder if an engine mount, or gearbox mount has failed causing either to knock on the body.

Agreed. It doesn't sound tinny enough to be an exhaust knock.

Good morning , update and advice please. The A1 finally broke down in February. Had the injectors tested and three failed. Note it had four injectors new in 2022 and only done about 10k before they have failed. 😞 anyway to test the car we have fitted four used injectors out of a scrap car. My question is without the information to code the injectors in to the A1 how long will it last before a light or fault code appears ? As there are no numbers on the injectors.

What was the knocking noise?

Seems unusual for 3 injectors to fail. How long will they last? Million dollar question. The engine needs the information for long term fuel management, otherwise its Russian roulette before they potentially fail again. Did you fit new stretch bolts and washers?
