Sorry no. It's an A6.

OH OK, just you have posted in the Q6 section, no worries.

It would appear this issue is affecting more then the Q6 then.

I believe this is a recurrent problem on frosty mornings , everyone wants to defrost their car at the same time.

The Audi server is obviously not capable of coping with the extra demand.

This is no excuse though Tesla apps work perfectly in similar situations.

My previous cars which have been a VW and Kia worked flawlessly.

The Audi app is rubbish and as said before they claim to be some technology experts of the future, try dealing with the present issues would be a great start, these issues and others are getting slammed on the Q6 Facebook group, think this is having a massive damaging effect on the Audi name and brand.

In US its called the lemon law, in UK its just "goods not fit for purpose". I guess it would take multiple people threatening to take the car back under these laws for them to take any notice. The car was sold with the claim of ability to control climate remotely.

The issue you have is time, we have had the car for over a year now and they have corrected some issues with the car but not the app, Audi claim the app is a extra they offer to enhance the experience of owning the car and is not part of any car sale relationship between Audi and the buyer, they claim they can take the app away and it would not affect the law in sale of the vehicle and would not stop the use of the car.

Not ideal but Audi have come across this app threat before as many have had issues with other models before the Q6 with the app not being fit for use.

What it really needs is a large motoring magazine or similar to get stuck into the issues but they are scared they will be black listed and never have access to future Audi or other cars in the group so they are all scared to report issues.

I'm not sure that applies in this case. For goods to be unfit for purpose under UK consumer law they would need to have a major defect that affects their basic function.  Being unable to set the cabin temperature in advance of starting the car strikes me as a minor fault rather than a major defect, no matter how inconvenient and disappointing it may be.
