Hi all, Newbie here 👋🏻 I know it has probably been asked a millions times but…….. I am looking to buy a Q5 for about 7/8k and was wondering which engine or model to look for or more importantly which ones to avoid. Thank you in advance. Marc 

This will partly depend on the kind of mileage you do whether diesel or petrol would be best. 

Check service history for proof of cambelt and water pump change, gearbox oil change (especially important if automatic), check all electrical items work Including air conditioning and infotainment system. 

Check Hester to make sure temperature and blower is consistent, if it's not it could be an issue with the heater matrix
