'Parking System' option greyed out in 'Car' Menu

Featured Replies

Hi All

Apologies if this has been dealt with before...I did a search but could find nothing...

I have a 2012 Audi A4 B8 variant ACJCAF1 estate fitted with reversing sensors in the rear bumper - previously working fine but have suddenly stopped working and, as mentioned. the option in the menu is greyed out.

Any idea what the problem could be?  As I don't know which fuse might supply this system I have checked all fuses (anyone know which one?) I can find but they all seem fine - I've had no rear bumps as far as I am aware and reading other forums it seems that it is possibly one of the sensors - are they wired in series?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...☺️

Stevie Q is bang on with a diagnostic scan. If you don’t have a scanner With a helper you can rest a finger tip on each sensor one at a time and you feel a very gently ticking, a sensor that doesn’t tick or ticks a lot slower and weaker then the rest could be failing/failed. The system will time out after a 1 second or 2 so will need to keep cycling the ignition and system to check them all, that’s why you need a helper.
