Ghetto Apple Car Play in my 2012, A3, 8V

Some might know its not particularly easy or cheap to get Apple Car Play into a 8V , A3.

I successfully achieved killing two birds with one stone here ... bridged the ugly gap underneath the climate controls and have fully functioning car play in the bargain ... Ok ive lost my cup holders, which i never actually used anyway and the none slip matting is a temporary measure until the drinks holder caps arrive
