Is this exhaust smoke normal only on startup

Hi its really light smoke on startup can't make out colour it' might be condensation just wanted to make sure can send you video on watapp if you private message me your number thanks

Hi any vehicle of that age will smoke until it gets up to temp, its pre DPF probably and has starship milage on it and possibly had a bad remap.

Hi its 2006 a4 b7 2.0 tdi no remap no dpf standard 140 bhp ... 163k miles it only smokes for few seconds at startup as video so should be all good then thanks

If it meets exhaust emissions standards (has an MOT,) and oil consumption is not excessive, why are you worrying?

Yes got mot no emissions problem no oil consumption so I guess all good thanks 

A little "smoke" on start up is usually just steam i.e. condensation. If it disappears after a few minutes it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

Thanks ye it dissapears within few seconds and its light as you can see in videos so guess ill leave it alone 

It will get much worse in low temperatures and you may even see drops of water dripping from the exhaust pipe. Ignore it.

If it ever changes to blue black or white smoke come back to us because that would indicate a problem.
