Hi there car has been hiccuping on and off for last 5-6 weeks can go couple weeks before it happens but happening a lot lately. Been to garages and still nothing has been found. Seems to happen a lot more on hills, the other day happened twice within a hour on a hill when holding at 2000 revs in second gear just a sudden jerk like I had quickly broke the car and it makes the car quickly slow down. I have to put the clutch down otherwise I think it would probably stall, then change gear and can continue driving but at reduced speed.

What have garages done to diagnose it? Could it be a blocked fuel filter? 

Invest in a cheapo OBD2 reader , something like an autel ap200 . Give yourself a free fighting chance of an answer . 👍👍
