Buying a 2014 RS6 Avant

Featured Replies

Morning All

I’m pondering buying an RS6.

I believe these to be robust and good for many thousand miles if serviced regularly.

Is there anything I really need to be aware of?

Also is it a must it uses premium unleaded rather than normal grade unleaded. I would always intend putting premium every so often but wondered if it’s a must every fueling.

thanks Rob

There's nothing robust about an RS6. These are performance cars, and even with full service history, things can and will eventually go wrong. As long as you have a hefty contingency budget, then go into it with your eyes and wallet open. Check our YouTube REPerfomance and VAG Technic (both C6 variants) - which are very informative.

Thanks for the replies.

All makes sense - I’ll look up the YouTube video. I’ve seen one that’s full Audi history upto about 1500 miles ago - seems genuine.

Do you have to fuel them with “super unleaded” or is the standard stuff ok ?

Super unleaded. Bit like buying a jet fighter then trying to run it in 2-stroke mix.
