A4,2.0,tdi sline,new pads and discs,front and rear

Featured Replies

Good morning all,new member here, first post.

Recently purchased a a4,2.0 tdi s line, which I really like, had no issues last 8 months of Ownership, Recently had it serviced and was told I needed new discs and pads all round, does anyone have any recommendations of what to get,I have found these online which ill try attach a picture of, they are from gsf motor factors, I ideally wanted some drilled and grooved ones not because of performance reasons just because imo they look abit better, open to suggestions, ive had a price from a local garage for £760 supply and fitted, brand unknown but I believe they were audi parts(id need to check),the photo ive hopefully attached was a total price of 320(just for the parts)

Many thanks in advance for any help/feedback and looking forward to being a member here

Hi Brembo are excellent, but I would try partsinmotion on eBay and you will definitely get better prices as they always give good discount.

Oh you will love Brembo, I run them on my Passat that I use as a cab and by nature they get a hard time so if its a bench mark I get 40k out of the front pads and about 50k out of the rears, just had to buy some rears and got them off partsinmotion with wear indicator wire £25.80.

Steve.

Pointless putting drilled and grooved discs on a 2.0TDI. Save your money. On a 2010 plate car, it might need a caliper overhaul down the line.

Parts wise, TexTar (oe on BMW), Zimmerman, TRW (oe on Audi). Will be vented discs up front, pretty sure solid rears, but check Autodoc or similar.

Morning all thanks for the suggestions I'll look into the  eBay shop mentioned, I just thought the 750+ quoted by my local garage seemed expensive

  • 5 weeks later...

If you want drilled and vented got to mtec.... fraction of the price and dead on quality. I put them on mine.
