A6 'Standard' stereo v 'Bose' - any suggestions to upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there a great deal of difference between the 'standard' stereo in a 2015 A6 avant, versus the Bose upgrade system?

Are there any easy ways to upgrade the 'standard' system - tweak the base / treble etc. - or add an aftermarket sub-woofer?

If I can find a the bose speakers and sub at a breakers - is it a big / small job to retro fit the Bose system into an A6 ( e.g. take out the standard speakers and fit the Bose )?

Thanks very much for any help.

So!

I have standard, bro in law Bose.

I am not a sound guy though, if you where the direction and position of spears would have your out with the MDF and carbon fibre.

Its really down to how you like it and what you listen to. If you are after base then a sub in the boot is it really going to do much.

I would say as a guy who owns Bose head phones just go standard. There is too much emphases put into it. Just stick a Harmon sticker on them no one will know 🙂

Sorry I didnt fully read your post.

100% not worth going to breakers and doing DIY job.

Go to a show room and get in a new yoke, you wont even notice bar sound isolation. I wear in ears now too as you dont have to listen to Peppa pig on repeat!
