Could it be the boot seal or the rear window washer if the pipe has come loose or it leaking around the wiper motor

my guess is maybe the boot seal as this model doesn’t have a rear wiper

Could you sit in the boot and get someone to use the hose to see if you can see where the water is coming in?

I don’t but I plan on taking off the trim from the trunk and setting my phone up to record to see if it captures anything

Noting your location, not unreasonable to determine the boot rubber has experienced extremes of heat. Actually getting in the boot isn't as daft as you think. I don't think a camera will pick up the detail. This video helps illustrate the lengths you sometimes need to go to. You will need to strip out trim if water enters the boot but you can't determine the location. These guys are good - look a their channel and you'll see their rebuild of a cheap S8.

i have fitted new seals on bootlid lights and put a thin bead of automotive silicon both on the seal and on the bodywork where the seal fits the last 3 days weve seen lots of heavy rain ond have had no water in boot cavity hope this helps
