Help….please

Hi,

I am new to this site. What know about cars can be put on a postage stamp in bold letters so happy for any help. I have a 2006 A6 station wagon which won’t turn of its ignition! The engine shuts off but the ignition lights on the hash stay on. The car will no longer start. I have a friend test it and it seems to have plenty of charge. It was connected to a charger and all the ignition lights flashed. There are other aspects that don’t work like the door locks and the glove box won’t open!!! Soo very frustrating when as ignorant as I. I do know this model was made with degradable sheathing on all the wire components which considering it’s age could be a problem…maybe.

happy for any tips even if it is to scrap it.
