Sorry, but no. That site demands too many permissions from me and wants to load innumerable cookies, hence I don't trust it.

The S-tronic gearbox is evidently the problem from your description. I suggest you get it serviced as it is sensitive to dirty oil and clutch wear.

Engine/gearbox mounting issues?

update now accompanied with a ticking noise when reversing full lock both sides, the jump happens the same as before not every time i reverse, but the ticking it there now,

thoose are fine even if were bad thoose wouldnt restrict the car from reversing and causing a binding or a jump, been to dealership a week ago for a service i asked the technician when we did a testdrive to have a look at it he said he never seen this issue so far, uppon my collection they said that car been scanned no fault codes coming up on anything, which i knew because im scanning it at home often, the cars been up to date with servicing i really look after my car,

eariler this year i did the quattro binding juddering tsb on it, the awd clutch adaptation, plus as extra changed the rear diff oil too,

after did a gearbox software update also as i mentioned gearbox been serviced eariler as supposed to be, will put on ramp tonight,in friends garage, will check again the driveshafts,cv outers, not much idea because the suspension is good checked myself and in dealership aswell,

i understand it can be the quattro drivetrain specially because its  the ultra it can be a drivetrain tension causing a jump clunk when reversing because tyres rotate at different speed, but then other would have it aswell so not sure

i will keep this post updated because this is very unusual issue,i will get to the bottom of this so next person dont need to chase this

if any idea from anyone what else to check tonight would be appreciated

Thanks

I fear the cause of the issues are not going to be resolved via. here, since no one has access to the vehicle to carryout eliminating inspections, so any attempts to do so can only be guesses.

It seems you are fully equipped with the facilities and experience needed to isolate the culprit/s

Yes, please let us know the outcome.

Regards,

Gareth.

ticking noise that was front brake pads easy fix,

but the big mystery reverse gear bang/clunk solved, after lifting the car up i checked everything as suggested propshaft joints brakes engine mounts all in perfect order, booked again an appointmet to dealership took few videos beforehand because it happens occasionally and i knew they might not be able to reproduce it if i leave my car again so i had a very good master technician working on car also asked for a testdrive so i could speak to him and show the video i took, he straight away knew the problem, he said that its a dual clutch 1 clutch responsible for reverse gear might be off and the kissing points need to be adjusted also performed a basic reset on gearbox since then 2 weeks now not a single time happend, i did try to force it cold start quick shift from d to r, but didnt happen since the adaptation,

Hope it helps to someone in future
