After driving for around an hour (doesn't happen first thing) but when in very slow traffic or stopped, when you pull away the gears try to go from 1-2-3 and sometimes into 4 within seconds and at roughly 5MPH, before it decides that's not happening.. splutters before re-engaging into the correct gear for the speed.

 

Any ideas?

When was the auto box oil last changed? 

Transmission oil was changed again last week at Audi's insistence, even though I replaced it in Dec following suggestions on forums, but this didn't solve the issue.

Audi UK now at a loss and IT has now been referred back to the factory/offices in Germany.

 

 

 

 

If Audi have no idea I suggest you try an independent gearbox specialist. I suspect the mechatronic control unit needs overhaul.
