Im interested in purchasing the following car listed in the title, I have found one (2012 model) and I am close to finalising the sale, 

Although one thing struck me flicking through the service history:

The S-Tronic gearbox has only been serviced once at 38000 miles back in 2015. It may have been serviced again at a higher mileage but there is no proof of it, so I am just assuming it has had the one only. The current mileage is 147000. I did test drive the car and the gearbox was smooth and responsive in normal, dynamic and sports etc. I drove both smoothly and then gave it a bit of a thrashing, but the gearbox did well and shifts were still smooth. My question is should I be concerned about the lack of S-Tronic services? And also do you have any recommendations of any independant garages or specialists that do the S-Tronic service? Or should I just go straight to main dealer for the s-tronic oil and filter change?

Definitely missed at least one of not two services. Assume it's not had them. So be cautious 

If main dealer has a fixed price deal on S Tronic service - then go with them, otherwise there will be plenty of independent VAG garages that can do it. I'd also get the rear diff gear oil changed.

Audi main dealer is £200 an hour, so they are never as competitive as an independent. The kit including gasket, filters and 7 litres of ATF is about £150. It is what it is.

I have found out from the seller that the gearbox was rebuilt under warranty in 2023 by the dealer they purchased the car from, so I guess thats a good thing for me.

So 3 years ago. Assuming you’re doing average mileage, it will need done soon. 

Is that ‘rebuild’  recorded on the VAG database?

I would move forward on the basis of no evidence, no fact!

How do I check this ? On the car MMI, or by contacting Audi? I think it was purchased from a private used car dealer not from Audi themselves, so highly doubt the repair would be registered with Audi

If it’s a rebuilt transmission, it will be recorded on VCDS, potentially if it’s an exchange unit. In measuring blocks, then you should be able to see the mileage recorded on the transmission, vs the mileage recorded on the odometer which will differ. I would still ask Audi if they have any digital service record.

Mateus has put in a request to delete this thread since he did not proceed with the purchase.

However, it is considered advantageous to continue to show it since some of the content maybe relevant to others faced with a similar situation in the future.
