Temp gauge stays around 50 after timing belt job

Hi everyone,

 

recently had a timing belt replacement on my 2.0 tdi q5 now the temp gauge stays at around 50 on the dash 

any help appreciated

also is it a tricky job or diy to replace ?

Sorry, don’t know on a Q5 but hopefully someone on here will be along. 
Well worth checking on the part cost first. You can do that via. entering your registration number into, say - Parts in Motion website - and that will come up with a variety of brands. I would buy on quality, not price.

Hi I think you probably have air in the system try getting the water system bled first, [much cheaper]
