Q5 2.0tdi manual servicing/ general information

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

So got a 2014 q5, manual and tbh finding information is a bit sketchy online with ai also rhyming off wrong facts .

So firstly TPMS, I don't have a setting in the mmi , so does this mean I don't have it or has someone deleted it via vcds as the manual with the cars tells you how to set it.also servicing, the book tells me nothing about oil service intervals and also because it's quattro does that mean I have to get diff oil services?

It just touched 130k an I think the last owner hasn't down anything since the last Audi service at 110k

Thanks

Hi the service items are fairly cheap aftermarket FEBI,BOSCH etc, the TPMS is on there somewhere as far as I am aware you can't delete it as its a law based requirement, as for serving that can be either 9k-15k, personally I would opt for 9k otherwise you can have problems and always use VAG rated 05-30 504/507, the DPF SYSTEM IS GARBAGE so I would get myself some VCDS so you can keep an eye on the soot and especially the ash levels, cam belts and clutches are expensive and worth replacing if you have no history, and yes the diff will need servicing otherwise the viscous couplings self destruct they don't like old oil.

Steve.

Thanks for the reply, last service Audi done the cam belt and oil so I'm gonna do another oil change an get the diff done while I'm at it. I'm going to plug vcds in and have a look because definitely cannot find any settings to store tyre pressure. Thankfully 90% of my driving will be motorway so the dpf should get a good clear out. Pity you can't delete them now 🤦🏻.

So went onto vcds and tpms is disabled in instruments and on the radio section. When I enabled it the dash lit up with tpms alarm but still no settings to store pressure even after a mmi reboot. The thing is this has 20" rims on it now , I'm wondering if the original tpms was sender's in the rims themselves and the owner changed the rims and got someone to delete the setting. I've turned it off again get the alarms off the dash. Paying to get a mmi firmware and maps update card soon so see if any new settings appear.

That sounds very plausible.

Just have to live without by the looks of it.

Have you ever done a mmi update...some saying takes two hours to complete 😮
