I have a 2018 Q5 that has done about 14k from new. it stands outside. I have had three brake pad warnings this year. They don't look worn down but I wonder if they deteriorate with age. I was at my usual garage a months ago and they said that they looked OK.

Hi if it stands for a long time the only thing that deteriorates is the pad sensor wires easy enough to replace and cheap enough aftermarket.

Hello, was wondering if anyone can help, have a 2019 a6 2.0 and mass air flow sensor keeps popping up, I got the part thought it's easy enough to change but the sensor is connected to the air filter cover and I don't know how to separate it, on one side it has plastic clips going all the way around but they dont stay back and if i push too hard the clips will break, attached 2 pics

Hi, I have a 2009 Audi A6 Avant TDI with a gearbox code LDQ. I'm experiencing a problem: in second gear, the gearbox jerks and judders violently when I accelerate. Once I reach around 40 or 50 mph, it smooths out, but at lower speeds, the jerking is really noticeable, even audible from the sidewalk. I recently tried to replace the gearbox, but the seller failed to mention it was already broken. I reinstalled the original gearbox, so the car moves, but now I’m stuck. I can't track down the correc

Hi all Audi owners. I need to replace my rear wiper motor due to it leaking into the boot when I wash the rear window. A simple job to change but very difficult to source the correct part. I have a 3 pin D shape connector on my motor but every motor I have found is a 4 pin rectangle connector. Has anyone come across this issue and what was the answer. Thanks.

Hi, I'm new to vehicle diagnostics, but I am facing an expensive aircon flap motor change, and understand that it's possible to change the flap motor. However this requires programming with the VCDS OBD kit. I have never done this, so I'll be careful, but I wonder whether anyone can advise on which kit to buy, please? I have a decent laptop, but that's all. Any recommendations please for what is a good purchase, with proper software? Cheers, Chris

Hi, looking for some help if anyone has had a similar experience. Sorry bit long winded 2018 Audi A6 C8 automatic, 78000 miles I was driving the car through my local town just over a week ago and the car 'jerked' which kind of threw me forward a bit, if you can imagine someone dabbing the brake with out you expecting it, that's how much it threw me forward. Having had an S4 Avant 10 years from new (B8), I was waiting for Audi to get over its diesel S4 period, so welcomed the launch of the new S5 Avant. I found a dealer willing to sell me one of the first available cars (they had one more arriving than they were required to hold by Audi for showroom/demo) - and took delivery in November '24. Ok, after completing the gearbox swap and driving the car for a few months, things have started to fail. The speedo doesn't work, even after putting in a speedo pickup in the gearbox, sensor and repairing the wiring. The electric windows all stopped working. The central locking won't work. The airbag and abs light work as they please. My next step is to strip it and turn it into a track car. I know they are not known for being great on a track, but I will try anyway. Following the sale of our A3, I have a pair of new Febi curved rear suspension link arms (not handed) for sale. These fit a range of years, and models, from A1 to Q3 and even TTs. Cheapest prices on EBay for non Febi are around £23 each. £25 + p&p will be accepted for the pair, and I will throw in a set new anti roll bar rubber bushes and saddles - current price £17.50. Hi, wonder if anyone can shed some light on this as my local dealer is not sure and doesn't want to start taking apart the dashboard unnecessarily. I've noticed in the winter months on longer journeys when the engine is up at higher temperature the climate controlled heating just gives up blowing and I start to feel a draft, etc.. In the summer months the same applies to cooling and the blower just stops delivering the cold air to keep the cabin at setpoint. When it does this I generally note

Hi all..new member here and unfortunately looking some advice on a problem.. I'm getting code p0299 ( only this code)so far I have checked the turbo actuator is moving freely and that it is holding vacum.so far all seems ok.i have checked the vacuum hoses and again all seem ok..but what I have noticed is after a short drive the n75/ vacuum control solenoid for the turbo actuator seems to get very hot..I assume this isn't normal and needs replaced.. Does anyone happen to know the resist

Hi, this maybe a sill question!!! I need to change my Battery in my 60 plate Audi A3, the guy in the shop said there is 2 types, one for stop start car and a one without (big difference in price). My car dosent seem to have stop start, because it dosent do it!! But the guy in the shop says it can turn itself off!!! There is nothing on the current battery to say its a stop start battery !!! Guy in shop says if you use a standard one in a stop start in can effect the ecu, so some functions wont wo

Hi everyone, I have the usual coolant leak from somewhere on my 2013 q7 3.0 tdi. It doesn't seem to lose it when just running around on short journeys , but on a 50 mile trip or something like that it loses some coolant. The car runs absolutely fine and at the correct temperature. Has anyone else has this type of symptom? If so ,what was the fix?
