A6 re map

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just purchased a A6 2.0ltr TDI 177ps with a multitronic box 2013 model. I was just wanted to know if the multitronic box is capable of taking the extra power and torque?

Adam

Hi Adam...welcome to the club!

I'm sure it will be tough enough to take a remap, but worth asking the tuner to make sure.

Generally, it you're not going racing then a remap should only smooth out the torque and power to enhance the drive with (sometimes) economical benefits.

Let us know how you get on

Morning. This is something I'm also considering as my mpg is pants since having the emissions update done. While the extra power will be nice I am more concerned with my miles per gallons. Seriously considering it now

Hi Den,

you should find that your mpg should improve as the remap will improve the efficiency of the engine. Your best bet is speaking to a company who specialises in remaps.

As the Tuner should tailor the map to the car. Each car is different due to age, mileage and driving style and as such the map needs tailoring as such.

Also make sure that your car is well maintained as any issues could be accelerated due to the potential extra stress pit on the components from increasing the power.

Cheers

I remapped the exact same car with Superchips Bluefin, adds 45 BHP and is easy to add/remove yourself via the diagnostic port.

I ran the remap from 25k miles to 98k miles with no issues. Performance gain wont turn it into a monster but it is much more pleasant to drive and you will appreciate the extra power. Oh and MPG slightly better (I averaged about 39.7 mpg from 39.2 mpg before remap and I do like to put my foot down)

Hi All,

Sorry to hijack the thread but I've been looking at a revo stage 1 remap for an a6 2.0tdi 2011 c7.

Costs 400 quid and adds 21hp and 54nm of torque.

Will you actually feel the difference in acceleration as 400 quid seems quite a hefty price?

I also used the Superchips Bluefin to remap my A6 Avant 3.0 BiTDi.  Worked seamlessly and I can swap the map back to stock at anytime it needs to go back to the dealer. Very pleased with it and now have 374bhp and 789nm torque!!  Highly recommend it :-)

I have a 2017 A6 ultra and was thinking about a remap but have heard stories about the stronic box not being to take the torque. Any advice would be appreciated
