Hi All,

I'm after value advice please on my late father's silver Audi 90 2.3e. It was bought new by my Dad in January 1991 and has 92,000 miles on it. It's been well looked after and has never failed an MOT, most of it's life away from holidays has been sitting in a dry garage so there's no rot anywhere.

From the photos you can see the interior is a very high standard still, no discernible tears or marks, not bad for a car 25 years old. Sadly Dad in his 80's touched his low offside dive wall, scoring the rear offside wheel trim, tearing the mud flap and pulling part of the lower door trim from the door. This trim has been slid off the car and can be easily refitted after slight rework.

Dad was very handy and done a lot of the servicing himself, hence very clean engine oil but lack of service history stamps after the first 3 years. It's a good, powerful, smooth runner and never let Dad down once. The original battery gave up when the car was still in warranty and only needed another about 2 years ago, no other components have been required in 25 years except an engine temperature sensor and servicing bits..! It has the original stainless steel exhaust that looks like it could go another 25 years.

Ideally I'd like to sell the car to an enthusiast, not let it go and see it thrashed to death around the village. Although this isn't a for sale ad, just an enquiry to it's possible value, anyone can contact me via a message with your number for more info. I check emails a few times a week so be patient please, but I'll definitely get back to you.

Thanks for looking. All the best... David

Hi David

It's in beautiful condition, you should have no problem selling it.

Not sure of what it is worth, and think maybe the best way is to list it on eBay and see what offers come in but you can always remove it before the end if it doesn't reach the price you want.

Let us know how you get on with the sale

Cheers  Trevor

Thanks for the ideaTrevor..... David

We had the car valued at 1000 to 1300 just before Christmas and as we thought, the first to view bought it. We'd advertisd it at 1200 but got beaten down to 1070. He got a good car for that money.

Let's hope so Brad, can't worry about that sadly. He hasn't got a garage so it's sleeping outside for the first time in 26 years now. When people keep trying to beat you down in price you wonder if they're going to just sell it on. Oh hum....
