Sluggish remapped 2.0T

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Can anyone advise why my remapped 2.0T doesn't go as well as I think it should?it only has 76k on the clock, has a Celtic tuning stage 1 remap which is meant to push out 261bhp, oh it's the DSG version and not Quattro, i know the s3 is Quattro and has a k04 turbo, but this is pushing out almost the same but doesn't go as well.

any ideas?

It will also go on the condition of the vehicle. I.e. A poorly serviced car will not be as good as one that's never missed a service.

The remap will have more effect with other mods such as straight through stainless exhausts, upgraded manifolds, induction kit and upgraded turbo for example.

Did you have it on a rolling road before and after remap?

Cheers

Hey Steve,

I'm getting the car serviced in a couple weeks,

Is it as easy as just replacing the k03 turbo with a k04 turbo, or hybrid, or is there a whole bunch of parts I need to replace with it?

Also how easy is it to make this a quattro? Is it just bolting on the haldex system?

Thanks
