A3 8P1 Windscreen wipers gone mad!!

Featured Replies

Hi All

Newbie A3 owner!

Just bought an 04 plate 8P1 and everything is great apart from the wipers. When you turn them on they can work normally for a while then go absolutely mental fast or really slow. The offside one even clatters past the edge of the windscreen. Sometimes they just go mad straight away. Thinking it's probably the wiper motor as the control circuit is integral from what ive read. Just put it on here in case anybody else has come across this and has an answer?

Any help greatly appreciated :-)

Just in case anybody was actually bothered,  I got a second hand wiper motor and everything is ok..The wiper control is incorporated in the motor.

Welcome to the forum Kev :)

sorry no one replied to you previously. I'm glad you've got your wipers sorted and at least you, I and other members will now know the cure :)

cheers

steve
