Soo'side Murphy
Got a 2015 model with <18k miles. New Turbo fitted 9 weeks ago. Same problem encountered last week but told it's the Turbo Control Unit now. Shocking and frightening when it happens. Both times on outside lane of busy motorways. Anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance folks.

Trevor
Hi James What actually occurs when it fails and how do you resolve it to get going again? Cheers, Trevor
Soo'side Murphy
Loss of Power. Vehicle goes into "limp mode". Pull over to safe area. Switch off engine. Restart. Continue journey <50mph. Call Audi Assist. Nightmare
Trevor
That was exactly what I thought you were going to say...common fault when the turbo variable vanes gum up with carbon....just need cleaning with additives, and at very little cost. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Diesel-Engine-Turbo-Cleaner-Cures-Limp-mode-/252680515459?hash=item3ad4eeaf83:g:vSoAAOSwyQtVlAeE Usually caused by smoking it around town and not revving the nuts off the engine, carbon builds up on the vanes and gums them in place. Use the cleaner and give it an Italian Tune-up...that'll sort it out
