In terms whether it's worth repairing I would say it depends on the mileage and condition. If it's low mileage and a minter with full service history then I'd say it's worth it. It also depends on what the car means to you. For example in my a6 I'd be happy to have another engine or gearbox put in it as it has great sentimental value. Sorry if iv told you how to suck eggs!
