Hey guys. Im in a bit of a pickle with my S4!!! My gearbox is F***ED. Its an auto 6 speed. Ive been quoted £3000 to recondition it and thats the cheapest about!! Is it worth me doing or sell it as parts? Thanks

Have you looked for any second hand gearboxes? 

In terms whether it's worth repairing I would say it depends on the mileage and condition. If it's low mileage and a minter with full service history then I'd say it's worth it.

It also depends on what the car means to you. For example in my a6 I'd be happy to have another engine or gearbox put in it as it has great sentimental value.
