Trevor Posted August 1, 2017 Share Posted August 1, 2017 A remap does a lot more besides, certainly makes the car more driveable and flexible on the drivetrain. Dan3222 Posted August 1, 2017 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Welcome to the forum Lee, I am not far from you actually, well in terms of Scotland anyway. In terms of remapping, what BHP are you at right now, 140 or 170 at a guess. A good remap should get you to a safe 200bhp. Much further than that then the turbo would become the first restricting item closely followed by the IC - InterCooler. After that the exhaust and injectors. Depends on your budget vs wanted outcome. Steve Q Posted August 2, 2017 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Welcome to the forum Lee youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) i have to agree that a remap is probably your best option :) a remap should be tailored to your car as no two cars are the same due to age, mileage and how they have been driven. As such you can ask the Tuner on what's best for your car as they should examine it on a rolling road first. You shouldn't need a bigger turbo unless your going for mega power. Obviously make sure the car is in good health as the remap will accelerate the wear on parts that are already starting to go.
