Radio /audio Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi all

just come onto the form as a new member so I'm here to pick all your brains .

ok here my problem

I have an Audi A3 1.9 Tdi 2009

it has a chorus radio fitted which will give good sound and Bluetooth hands free .

it does not come with any way to either plug in an aux or USB or Bluetooth to stream

music from my phone .

ive tried one of theses plug not your phone things that works of a radio frequency

but a bit poor at best .

my chain of thought is

I think the Order they came in from the factory was

chrous

concert

synphony

is this correct and is this in order of quality ?

if so does say the symphony have the aux and Bluetooth for streaming ?

and are the connectors on the back the same as I'm thinking the way the Germans are that

you choose on order the radio you require pending on what you want to pay ,the wiring

is all the same and they just plug it in ?

i want to stick with an Audi head unit only because I've been told if I go for anything

else all the steering controls be come in operable ?

hope this all make sense

im open to you wisdom

thanks in advance

Darren

Welcome to the forum Darren :)

youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

your right in the order of radios and that if you fit a non standard radio then more than likely your steering wheel controls won't work.

However I believe that Bluetooth was an option on all models to be honest.

Sorry I can't help more.

Cheers

steve

Hi and welcome to the site.

im fairly new myself and as has been mentioned most members are friendly and helpful.

I have the symphony head unit and I do not have aux/blue tooth connection.

I have recently fitted a parrot 9200 which has all of those options built on to it and that seems to be working well in my car.

hope this helps.

Hi, I have the same question.

Mine is a Concert, but I was wondering if I can add some sort of adapter at the back of the head unit to maybe also work with the voice icon on the steering wheel and pair up my phone.

I had a Parrot 9200 in my last car and it was awesome.  That is my second option
