  1. Other than persistence, a hammer, heat etc im not sure
  2. Hey mate could you try an air chisel or sawsall? Also found this link mate: https://www.ttforum.co.uk/threads/seized-rear-control-arm-preventing-4-wheel-alignment.180551/ I'd also recommend you update the bushes with powerflex ones so you won't have to replace them again.
  3. Yep I've looked into it, I've got my tickets booked and really looking forward to it. Should be a cracking day out 🙂 I do love shows that have a variety of things to do. Just like simply Audi that has the cars, museum and manor house to look round.
  4. Hi yes there is a connection but that becomes redundant with the fitting of aftermarket shocks, the old cure for that was bridge the connector with a diode so it thinks its still working on some cars you don't even need the diode, its like the conversion I did on an old Jaguar Sovereign after installing the twin angled conventional shocks with the new brackets I had to cap off the reservoirs and feed pipes but because the sensor was not receiving any info from the reservoirs it thought it was stopped permanently, no warning lights. They were all pretty simple systems but not that reliable as they can't follow the dynamic travel of any road the same way as a conventional shock will, they are great if you want to drive round at 30mph everywhere, if you ever have a mind try Bilstein B6s they are like travelling on rails. Steve.
  5. Hi Steve Just to re-iterate about the Bromley Show. I have been going for many years and it is much more than just a car show. There is something for all of the family, various activities in the event ring, many stalls selling everything from car parts to funny hats. Also there is a beer bus, hot dogs etc. Plus about 1000 cars on show Tony
  6. Lol I mean A6 c5, but you already knew that! 🤣 Let's not get on the topic of the Sinclair c5, our views on electric vehicles (I call them all milkfloats) will bore most members to tears lol. In all seriousness though Steve, am I right in thinking that for self leveling suspension there would be a sensor connected to the shock? As that would narrow down the OP shock options. On another note, Dan you believe you can't get self leveling shocks for my a6 anymore.
  7. Sorry I just THOUGHT about it you may be talking about a Sinclair C5. Steve.
  8. Hi anything would be an improvement over Citroen O.E. shocks they are appalling as they just use the cheapest suppliers they can, a couple of the older models I have worked on had oil only shock absorbers which as far as I was aware became extinct after the seventies. Steve.

I agree the gear ratios are likely to be different in a 4 cylinder car. I would be very wary of buying a secondhand gearbox from outside Finland via Ebay unless it had a cast iron guarantee that included return carriage. Over here we have car breakers (aka dismantlers or recyclers,) who often sell parts on line. Is there such a system in Finland, or do cars have to be taken to official Audi recyclers? I think your best option would be to find a specialist gearbox rebuilder who will renew broken parts and fit new bearings. Such companies exist here so I daresay you will have them too in a country with a long rallying tradition.
