  1. Hi if you remove the hoses there is more than likely a silicon hose company that will replicate them for you provided you are not using them for fuel, try ASH on line. Steve
  2. Chris, it seems odd why you join and post responses to old thread, when the ‘full cambelt recommended changes’ have already been defined.
  3. I agree it is likely the EGR cooler at fault. The new part cost is not bad; the labour cost will depend how difficult it is to access it.
  4. I had this, for the price of the sensors I replaced the pressure sensor and the regulator.
  5. Guys, I used Bennets in Littlehampton for my service. Not a big setup, but they have VAG software, and all the cars in sight were Audi, VAG, BMW or Mini. So to me, and independent that has focus. They picked up a couple of VAG points on my service as well, so I think they know their stuff. Next time I need work, or support I'll be contacting them first. Terry
  6. Plenty S3s out there. Find one that's been unmodified.
  7. Hello mate You was in the right ballpark, today the Mrs informed me you need to sort my car out I need it for work, so I didn’t have the luxury of time to make it my next project. Have been paying the AA for 20 years so now it was time to use them. They came today and he went straight for the n/s under the manifold with his torch and spotted a slight wet patch. Unscrewed the manifold and there it was a bolt holding the rail in place had worked loose unseating No 4 injector a mm or 2, he said it was a common fault on the 1.4 engine. So he tightened it up and it ran better but still has slight leak so have to get the injectors re sealed and new bolts for the rail. Thanks for your help and advice, you was on the money.
  8. Hi best find out what the lights about first, sometimes depending who did the map they can't back track so you could be buying a host of expensive crap, not sure why people do this the car is plenty fast enough standard and chances are its an over fuelling issue. Steve.
