  1. Hi Oliver...welcome to the forum I would imagine that it is a relay clicking in and out. One of the systems (intermittent wipers, etc) is operating or it is a faulty relay. I would remove the cover from that area and touch each relay individually to see which one is clicking and then remove it to isolate that system to see what is not working. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  2. Hi Dion...welcome to the Forum, I would pop into a specialist audio installer or even Halfords as they have keen prices and deals on stereos. They should be able to offer you advise and pros/cons. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  3. Hi, and welcome to the forum As a rule of thumb, I would definitely advise taking the car back to the dealer for the first few services as they can carry out updates on the systems with software downloads from the manufacturers which you may get from some specialists but cost wise probably wouldn't be too dissimilar. After that, you fall into the 3 years + category and then you are free to choose where to go then. Cheers, Trevor
  4. Hi Chantal...welcome to the Forum! Have you already got the MMi system fitted to your car and is it just the SD card with maps that you need to buy? Cheers, Trevor
  5. Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum Is it only when starting the engine from cold start or when the engine is warm/hot? Sounds like it could be glow plugs on the way out if starting from cold Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  6. Great picture Dan... Hopefully someone has done the mod before but imagine it should be a straight swap if you have all of the parts from the S3 to hand
  7. Hi Robert...welcome to the Forum Fantastic looking car! thanks for sharing a piccy of it. Enjoy! Cheers Trevor
  8. Hi Eekie...welcome to the Forum Congrats on your new Audi...just in time for a long weekend drive Look forward to seeing some photos when you get it Cheers Trevor
  9. Hi Dan...welcome to the Forum I've had this problem before (on a Land Rover) and just replaced a cable but the cable just broke almost instantly....false economy in the long run May have to bite the bullet unless you can find one through Eurocarparts and look for a discount code to lessen the blow a little. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  10. Only really known it with recorded CDs not pre-recorded ones...depends how they're formatted
  11. Hi Graham...welcome to the Forum I suppose it's like any car really, if it's been looked after then it will generally be a good car. The turbo could have been replaced as a false diagnosis, tends to happen a lot if someone ran it hot on motorways and then switched off without letting the oil circulate and cool down the turbo and bearings. Hope your purchase goes well and let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  12. Hi Robert...welcome to the Forum Welcome also to the world of Audi....and that's a great looking car I too spent many years with MG Rovers and even owned a garage specialising in them (for my sins!) Look forward to reading your posts in the future Cheers, Trevor
  13. Hi Jamie...welcome to the forum Is it just restricted to the one CD or is it all of them?
  14. Hi, are you wanting to replace the head unit for aftermarket?
  15. Hi Graham I would suggest looking at the wiring and connections to the sensor as I have come across a few in the past where the problem was there rather than the sensor itself Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi James...sorry to hear about your mishap, but could have been worse I suppose! I would advise checking the lower arms first but may not visually notice too much in the way of distortion so I would put it on wheel alignment equipment to gauge how much damage is there...e.g. is it way out and by how much (tow, castor, camber, etc) Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Chris....welcome to the Forum! This is one companies claims for BHP increase but I'm sure there are others out there who could pull out more power. http://www.dmaperformance.co.uk/ecu-remapping/audi/ Let us know how you get on with this Cheers, Trevor
  18. Seems strange that it would be a lot smaller diameter which would mean that the car would steer off in a particular direction because of the difference in ride height, Traction Control would invoke because of difference in rolling diameter, etc. I would check with another dealer as you suggested
  19. I've moved this post to the Parts for sale/wanted section as well to see if it gets anymore responses there.
  20. Maybe worth trying up alongside one of the wheels on the car to compare the overall diameter (with larger tyre on spare possibly?)
  21. lol...best forget all about it and then it'll be like Christmas Day when it arrives
  22. Hi Frazer...welcome to the Forum! and welcome to the wonderful world of Audi I'll bet you can't wait until it arrives? Cheers Trevor
  23. Hi John....welcome to the Forum That's a beauty, especially in the black edition Thanks for posting up a pic Cheers, Trevor
