  1. Welcome Chris, Not sure if you can get access into the U.K. parts supplier LLL Parts. If so, that would be a good place to start to find the appropriate part number, an image and a name for the part - if the system works for you. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  2. Thanks Andrew, So can we take it that the warning light has been on for sometime - through your ownership?? Regards, Gareth.
  3. Thanks Ian, ‘..pulled into the next emergency bay.’ On M1??
  4. So the handles were removed then, and that operation is likely to be the culprit with your current issue.
  5. Thanks James, I think you have posted them before-?
  6. Now what brand are you considering and from where? Regards, Gareth.

    Servo issues?
  8. Welcome Abeer, Try LLL Parts website, or simply put your registration number into Parts in Motion website ( there are others). Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  9. Just PM John if you want it.
  10. I feel a bit like the advert for estate agents now - Same battery with Tayna - £136.50 in case it helps anyone in the future.
  11. Hello Timothy, Um, doesn’t sound good unfortunately. Trying to think of things which might be less frightening, and a stuck starter motor comes to mind, longshot, but….. Am I right in believing the car has only done an unbelievably low mileage around 28K? Regards, Gareth.
  12. What is the bad news that has turned out with diesels? Obviously your choice in using fuels beyond recommended by the manufacturer? Incidentally, how often does the car get used?
  13. Sorry James, not understanding your reply in regard to:- Were the handle assemblies removed from the car before the car was wrapped?
  14. Thanks John, What battery number did you buy - e.g. 075. 096 etc. and what capacity is it e.g. 60Ah etc.? Regards, Gareth.

I’ve used Brembo discs and pads to good effect - if that helps. Try Carparts in Motion at Exeter for competitive prices and good service - no personal connection. Keep an EBay eye out for when they have additional discounts ( sometimes at the end of the month). Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  16. Hello Susan, There appears to be a choice of 3 secondhand ones on EBay, starting at £15.50. I think ( but not certain) that the Febi no. is 19526 - but please check. These can be at least a couple of hundred £s up, and maybe only available from Germany etc, but again worth a check. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.

Hello James, Can see you have returned to the forum to read my prompt, and I guess to read the advice given, but we still await your comments.

Are you going to return to the forum and read, and hopefully acknowledge the advice you asked for. To date, you appear to have joined the forum, posted a plea for advice at the same time, and simply not bothered to return to read that advice.
  19. Wondering if you had come to your decision yet John.
  20. Do I recall the door handles were taken off during the wrap? By the wrappers?
  21. Looking back on this - £186 for a spurious make battery-?? Halfords:- their batteries are seldom competitively priced even after the discount has been applied.

Like the ‘old days’ bit in the late 90s!

Hello Mark, Fit new to back? ‘…….its what I was told in the old days when I was learning to drive’. Was that in the days when the majority of cars were rear wheel drive?
  24. Magnet replied to allbrad50's topic in Audi A1 Club
Absolutely Allan - it’s great to consider all opinions. Just one question:- what happens when the front end breaks away then? You didn’t mention what brand you are intending to buy. Regards, Gareth.
