  1. Am I right in assuming it is a tungsten bulb, not an LED?
  2. That's odd, I found five immediately at the top of my search results, but then I use Duck Duck Go not Google spyware.

Did you try searching the forums for " brake noise" before leaving the above comment? I found five topics.
  4. When you fitted the new battery did you have it coded to the car? If not, that may be the problem. I suggest you get the battery professionally tested to check that it has not been degraded by poor charging as a first step. If after proving the battery is well the faults still exist, get the car scanned on a code reader to remove redundant codes and diagnose any new codes.
  5. My guess is that one of the locks has not operated fully. To be sure you should get the car scanned on a decent code reader.
  6. As Gareth suggested, volts not amps would make more sense.
  7. 12 amps? That would be double the power of a headlight. Even 3 amps (36 watts) would be a seriously bright reversing lamp.
  8. Please let us know the outcome.
  9. If you had searched these forums John, you would have seen this: https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/24906-alternator-failure-related-to-mild-hybrid-system
  10. Harold. What is the point of twice copying the OP's post into your own reply, especially without adding any text of your own? I have hidden your post.
  11. The error needs to be reset using a decent code reader such as VCDS and OBD11 etc. A cheap reader may not be able to do that. Alternatively take a trip to a dealer or preferably a VAG specialist.
  12. Thanks for letting us know.
  13. Coding of the new battery is more than just desirable, it is essential to avoid buying new batteries every six months.
  14. Evidently Boldrick is happy to accept advice from the forum but is not prepared to give anything in return. Oh well, that's another time waster for the blocked list.
  15. What of it? Whether it has one, two, or twenty fans they all depend on the fan module.
  16. Please let us know the outcome.
  17. Any progress on this Allen?
  18. So it's a mild hybrid. See this topic which seems similar to yours, though has not shown a resolution yet. https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/29907-mysterious-lightshow-and-scary-consequences/#comment-129146 See also this topic which may or may not be related to yours: https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/24906-alternator-failure-related-to-mild-hybrid-system
  19. I assume there is a tolerance or limit of +/- x psi before the warning light is triggered. I suppose you could establish that limit by progressively letting the pressure down. Consider this, many years ago it was normal to have a gauge on the dashboard for engine oil pressure, but it was eventually realised that few people could interpret the readings, so the gauge was replaced by a warning light. The same was true of dynamo voltage. Modern TPMS systems are directly analogous to those situations.
  20. David. Is yours a hybrid power train?
  21. I can't answer your question, but I do wonder why you want that data displayed somewhere. Surely all you need to know while driving is whether the pressures are wrong, i.e. have they changed since you set them?
  22. Martin. It's likely the fan control module has failed and needs to be replaced. It is sometimes mounted on or near the radiator.
  23. Damon. I have merged your two identical topics to keep all responses in one place.
