  1. Sorry to hear this. Have you tried getting a mechanic to have a look?

  5. Ah nice. And sounds like a good project 🙂
  6. Please keep us posted on how you get on after fitting it.
  7. Definitely get a second opinion. The service advisor gets a commission on uoselling of work carried out. You're better waiting for the parts to be genuinely worn out in my opinion.
  8. Have you tried AliExpress or autodoc?
  9. Where have you tried so far? Have you tried eBay?
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 is that twyford Leicestershire? Sounds like a good project, the MK1 TT is going to be a future classic for sure.
  11. I'd recommend a second opinion as the main dealer often has a habit of wanting to change parts early for upsale of work.
  12. I think on the A6 c7 that could suffer similar issues, owners resorted to using sticky back felt pads to cushion the speaker grill (in the c7 case) and the dash. Wrap some fabric electrical tape around the clips to make the trim a tight fit. Common on the B9 models so YouTube that there’s a few videos. Basically fabric tape. Might be worth a shot if you still have the same issue with the new Audi part.
  13. Could it be an injector issue? Is it worth having them tested?
  14. I totally agree regarding the egr, I have to mention the legality side as a matter of course as a moderator. At this moment in time the MOT only checks it's fitted not that a cheat device has been fitted to the ECU. The dvsa are talking about changing this my checking the ECU every time a car is MOT'd however, with how long the dvsa take to do anything it'll be mid 2030 by then. I fully understand why you're looking at taking the route you are. And if it passes emissions then happy days. The only way you'd ever come unstuck is if you had a crash and insurance company checked the ECU. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience on the a2 forum. Hope you're experience here is better. Regarding swirlflaps I know the 3.0tdi suffered from.issues either them and owners resorted to deleting them.
  15. Only problem with this mod from your other thread is tamper on the egr which is illegal. So could invalidate your insurance.
