  1. Audi have announced that by 2030 they intend for all their models to be electric. This will start next year with the electric crossover and then an electric sports car. Audi also intend to improve the infrastructure for electric cars by increasing the number of charging stations across the US and Europe in preparation for their electric models. This will rival Tesla's similar charging system. 3. Hello all, i know it's not Audi related but.... I need some advice/help. One of my lower fog lights on my Ford escort gas got broken and I'm struggling to source a replacement :( does anyone know where I can get one? It's genuine ford and seems to be as rare as rocking horse !Removed!! By the way the pic was taken on my wedding day. My escort was used to transport me and my best man to the wedding :) Thanks in advance!!
  4. Hi Dan welcome to the forum :) The s6 c5 is a great car, and despite it's age itll drive great as long as it's been maintained property :) I'm not too sure about fitting an aux but I have a suspension there is an socket on the back of the radio for an ad on, if that makes sense. Don't quote me on that though. Cheers Steve
  5. Definitely don't have it done. The vag group can't force you to have it done as it's your car. With regard to compensation I think it will be very unlikely that anyone in Europe will get anything as technically non of the VAG cars actually breached European emissions rules and regs despite the cheat device this is why we can opt out. It's more the dishonesty that the EU is annoyed about. We are not as strict here in europe compared to the US.
  6. Hmm I'm not sure then, sorry. Cheers Steve
  7. That's not bad for a 16 year old car :)

  14. Welcome to the forum Antony :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Sorry to hear your having issues. I believe the water getting into the battery compartment and footwell is caused by the water channels being blocked by debris, leaves, dirt etc. Once the water starts seeping into the cabin in interacts with the electrical systems which run behind the dash. The a6 has a fuse box on either side of the dash. The ends of the dash pull off to reveal the fuses etc. It then causes havok with the systems. My best advice is to get an auto electrician on the case but I suspect it could have affected the module for the central locking. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve

  19. So today we had a rolling road day at Street Racers, Mill Street, Syston which had a reasonable turnout. The event kicked off with breakfast at the birstall services before making our way to the venue. The event was a joint event between the Audi owners club.com and the general public. This was great as it allowed a mixture of cars to be tested. the results: 2006 bmw 330d - 350bhp with 700nm torque. Sports exhaust fitted. Marks TT RS 251bhp at the wheels 1987 bmw 3 series (325) rally car (stock engine) 166bhp and when new produced 170bhp My brothers Suzuki swift 1.5 (stock). When new it produced 101bhp and on the rolling road it produced 103bhp! This came as a surprise to us!! Stock Seat ibiza FR 151bhp at the wheels Overall it was a great day and thoroughly would recommend it!!. As you've probably realised my a6 wasn't at the event as it's still being rebuilt after the accident it was involved in. I will be putting it on the rollers Soon though!! Thanks for reading Cheers Steve
