Hi Jas, Unfortunately there does not appear to be any workshop manuals for the 8v. However some members have bought Elsawin of eBay. This software is similar to what the dealers use and should cost you around £10 on ebay. Obviously check the sellers feedback rating before buying. However I can't say I've ever used it myself. Cheers Steve

The 5.2 s6 engine is a detuned version of what they put in the rs6 and Lamborghini Gallardo. It's a lovely sounding engine! And I agree it would put a smile on my face too, it's just the economy factor which is why I drive diesel.

Yep parts department would be best :) as they'll have a scematic of the parts required. Cool, I'll add you to the list :) Cheers Steve

Welcome to the forum Sam, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The 1.6 petrol has a cambelt and I'm 99% certain the cambelt interval is every 4 years or 60k, which ever comes first. In my opinion it should have been changed by now, but my advice would be if there's no proof of it being carried out then just change it to be on the safe side. Don't forget you'll need to change the tensioner and water pump at the same time. Also I've moved this thread to the a3 8,p section to make it easier for other members to follow. Cheers Steve

Hmm, I do wonder whether the issue is mechanical in sonebway. Remind me again, is the car running ok?

As I say, asking Audi might be your best bet. Nice one! Shall I put your name down for vag tuner live (if it isn't already!) Cheers Steve

Any guesses??

Hi Dan, Nice to see you back on here :) sorry to hear about your issue though. I do hope nothing serious happened?! Hypothetically it should fit but you'll need the necessary brackets for the intercooler and rad etc for the diesel. it might be worth you asking Audi directly. Sorry I can't help more. Hope to see you at VAG tuner live this year :) Cheers Steve

Truthfully that was my suspicion, do they have an idea if what it could be?

Hi Sean, I think the mk1 had different springs depending on the model. It could be possible that the wrong springs have been fitted, ie from a lower spec'd car. Cheers Steve

Please keep us posted Lee, I do hope it gets sorted quickly. Cheers Steve

Audi emergency service vehicles

Thanks Paul :) -
Welcome to the forum Gary, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) As long as the a8 diesel engine is in good condition you should be fine e for passing the emissions tests as long as the DPF is fitted and working along with the cats. Also you are not allowed to have the engine management light on anymore or have any oil leaks as these are now major fails. Cheers Steve

Welcome to the forum Andrew, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The answer to your question is yes you can. But I'd recommend using them from a similar aged a3. I say this as the facelifted model a3 maybe slightly different. Cheers Steve

2012 3.0 TDI A7, want to improve an already perfect car
Steve Q replied to AntA7's topic in Audi A7 Club
Welcome to the forum Ant, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) A good start for an improvement on power and potentially mpg would be a remap. This will improve the drivability of the car :) Cheers Steve -
Following on from my Audi barn finds thread, I thought I'd do a thread on Audi emergency service vehicles from around the globe. Enjoy!

You're welcome :) Well I just had the brake vacuum pump replaced as I had brake failure which cost me over £300. Feel free to post it up for sale on the forum but don't forget to add pics and a price :) Cheers Steve
