If you're assuming the locking when you're driving bthen yes it can be turned off but you'll need VAGcom or similar to turn the feature off. Out of curiosity why bdo you want to turn off this safety/security feature? Cheers Steve
  2. Hi John, I've never seen that before! I'd speak to a roof specialist as a special bonding agent is required. Cheers Steve
  3. Glad we could help Tara and glad you got sorted 🙂 cheers Steve
  4. Hi David it might be worth you getting the tracking looked at. Are the tyres wearing evenly? Cheers Steve
  5. Hi David my advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out or for the same money get an auto electrician take a look. Cheers Steve
  6. Look your a6 Andrew. Such a clean example. Your model appears to be the sport model which had stiffer suspension. The SE spec had softer suspension but even the post facelift (2002 - on) SE specs had slightly stiffer suspension than pre facelift cars. For the softests suspension available you'll need to go pre 2002 SE suspension. Cheers Steve
  7. Hi Jason, besides the head unit you'll need the relevant modules for signal etc and it may all need to be coded into the car. Your best bet is getting an aftermarket touch screen anroid type system.wgich are becoming common place. Cheers Steve
  8. Hi there, you can fit an aux port which plugs into the back of the radio. Cheers Steve
  9. Looks about right Gav! Cheers Steve
  10. I Russell I suspect they were an option. Probably better without it anyway as it's one less thing to go wrong. Cheers Steve
  11. Welcome to the forum Neil, just out of curiosity have you had a diagnostic check carried out? And if so what fault codes flagged up? I'm wondering if it could be the airflow sensor. Cheers Steve
  12. The softest a3 suspension is on the SE spec a d it'll.bolt straight on. A lot of aftermarket kits will.be stiffer than the standard items. Cheers Steve
  13. Unfortunately the only real cure is to replace it with a brand new item. They are very rare but various cars from this era suffered from.this issue such as the BMW e39. Cheers Steve
  14. Hi Aaron welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my advice would be to see if washer jets from an a4 or a6 fit of the same era as I think they are the spray type. cheers Steve
  15. Welcome to the forum Lawrence, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 ny question is, did the mechanic say they were safe? If so then I'd say there's no issues. You could always ring the coilover manufacturer to be on the safe side. Cheers Steve

  23. Welcome to the forum Joel, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 if you're using your car only for short journeys then this could be the problem. As your dog gets clogged with soot which causes the EML light to come on. My advice would be to take the car on a good run on a duel carriage way or motorway once a week. cheers Steve
