You'd be best finding a gearbox for the 2.7. Could a A6 C5 2.7 work?

Think it could be the rod that attached to the door handle.

Think you've been unlucky. But the higher the mileage the more likely parts will need to be changed as they wear out.

Yep you have to take delivery once it's ready, otherwise everyone would be waiting for new plate time and could mean old models registered on newer registrations than they should be

If you think it's high then I'd recommend you get a second opinion so you've got a comparable quote

I think it definitely could be that switch. How did you get on changing it?

Is there not a setting in the mmi? Or a button near to the electric window controls/mirror adjustment?

When you had the tank replaced did you have the system bled? Did you change the expansion tank cap? As seals can fail and you wouldn't know if it was leaking from there. Could there be an issue with the heater matrix? (Any wet carpets etc?)
