After a few minutes, car beeps at me and the clock turns off
eemew57 replied to eemew57's topic in Audi Q2 Club
Battery is definitely registered correctly and no fault codes yet I still get a beep after a variable time when the clock goes off and doesn't come back on. I don't know if it's an undocumented feature or a fault. Everything else seems to work OK. -
A few years ago the car kept telling me the coolant level was low, when it was perfectly OK. I managed to remove the connector on the sensor, cleaned the pins, and all was then OK. Until this week when it started happening again. Trouble is, I cannot remember how to get this connector off. It has a tag on the side that looks maybe like it's a clip preventing the connector pulling off, but no luck. Can someone please tell me what the trick is to pull this connector off?

Hello Pauline, When you say ‘Audi garage have been good…’ would I be correct in thinking the car has been serviced/ repaired by an Audi main dealer during your ownership? If so, you would have been paying far over the odds, to maintain this now 8 year old vehicle, and its long overdue to find either a trusted local independent, or local garage to maintain it from here on in. What mileage has it now covered, and what is your typical annual mileage? Regards, Gareth.

Looking for best Audi A4 cabriolet auto
Richardracer replied to Richardracer's topic in Audi Cars for Sale and Wanted
Hi everyone, I do not have a specific budget, but am just starting down this road. I have looked at prices on Autotrader, EBay and on here to get some ideas. I would guess £3k to £5k but let’s see what is out there please. -
Hi, my mmi is playing up, did the one you order work as plug and play? Just trying to figure out my options, mark

It's a common fault in many Audi models.

Richardracer replied to BobBurn's topic in Audi Cars for Sale and Wanted
Hi Bob, did you manage to sell your car? If not, can you confirm which engine it is and any known faults/issues. thanks richard -
Thanks Doug, I have emailed the letter directly to Audi UK, but as you went through your local dealer and they honoured it I think i'll also send them one for good measure. Thanks

Thanks Cliff, There are a lot of factors to consider. There are pros too. I'll do some more research.

So, I took the car out for an eight or nine-mile trip today - to get some breakfast... ...which was very pleasant. On the way home, in addition to the DPF light (which had been on from the get-go), I got the flashing glow-plug light, shortly followed by the check engine light. The triumvirate of misery... ☹️ When I got home, I plugged Carly in, and after 20 minutes or so, got the following result: The Smart Mechanic says: ...and goes on to say... So, it doesn't tell me much more than the light on the dash. My DPF is clogged and isn't re-genning as it should. No clue as to why... 🤔 It mentions a control unit - anyone know what/where this is please? Thanks, Mike 😎

Once again I can only hear broken audio so all I can suggest is to take the car back for diagnosis.
-
Glad you had it done and it's made the car nicer. Well done for getting the gearbox remapped too as this often gets overlooked.

Which of the new Audi A5 models feature MHEV ?
Steve Q replied to georgepamak's topic in Audi A5 Club
Sorry to hear that -
Will have a look at the wires you suggested, Watch this space will let you know.

Apologies I've only just seen this. I still have the A6 but no further forward to be honest. They definitely become a labour of love. The issue I've found with the 2.5tdi V6 is parts availablity for the engine now. How are you getting on with yours?

Mmi sound freezing
Steve Q replied to Jepor's topic in Audi Audio / DashCams / Electronics / Security
Ideally you'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It might also be worth contacting Audi to see if there's a software update available for the mmi. - Last week
