    Temp issue

After spending a fortune the garage said they cant fix it. Went to another place and straight away found it was issue with egr coolant sensor. Replaced that and back to normal running temp and stays there. No happy i wasted money and weeks with those other morons.

  4. No it’s the s3 with the issues. Great colour and looks well for a 2017.
  5. The all important consideration is the ‘rolling diameter’. You don’t tell us the tyre sizes of your current 17 inch wheels. Please let us have that information so we can offer you best advice. Regards, Gareth.
  6. John. Your problem is nothing to do with Borat's so I have split it away to a topic of its own. If you want help with your problem you need to give a great deal more detail.
  7. Hi, thanks for the reply. I was thinking sensor too BUT what sensor, located where? I've not been able to find out what sensor is sending the insufficient flow fault message. The EGR valve was a like for like replacement PIERBURG 7.02132.07.0 from Autodoc. I also replaced the solenoid with new off Ebay. I'm told by the geeks at Ross-Tech (VCDS people) that the check engine light can go off by itself after a few driving cycles. However, the latest twist in the saga is that the light came on 14th June, then went off by itself later that week, then came back on yesterday (23rd June) but when I scanned the car, the report said the fault that brought the light on was the one on 14th June, nothing for 23rd June. It would be great if someone could tell me which sensor is reporting the insufficient flow.
  8. You need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up to find the route cause.
  9. If you've bought this from a dealer in the last 30 days then it's for them to fix free of charge if it's not been sold as described. As you're entitled to a full refund in the first 30 days after sale.
  10. Is it linked to an engine breather I wonder? Do you have any pics?
  11. So glad you got sorted 🙂
  12. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  13. You'll need to go into Audi or type your reg on a parts store online to find the correct part number. As it'll depend if it's Bose, or standard Audi one etc. If you've just bought it from a dealer in the last 30 days then it's their responsibility to fix it free of charge as you're entitled to a full refund in the first 30 days after sale
  14. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  15. That looks to be useful company to know about for anybody in North London, Leicester, or Lamia (Greece).
  16. Hi I’m a noobi to the forum so forgive me if this query has been asked before. Does the app give notifications when charging is complete? (Other than opening the app) As you know some charge points penalise you if you stay over once the charge has completed £1 / minute! So would be good if this was a feature, I’ve been told it is but has never worked for me the only notifications I get is when charging fails so the config and comms are in place for me to get notified. Thanks 🙏

  18. Range control is the level sensors on the front and rear lower control arms, easily damaged when working on suspension, I snapped mine so 3d printed a new arm from an A6 all-road air suspension sensor. They can also go bad when the abs sensors break.
  19. I have had my A6 now just over 2 weeks, and really impressed with it so far and happy with the purchase. Got a free month with AudiConnect navigation etc, its a shame its £14.99 a month, I think its a bit steep. If it was more like £7.99 I would be more likely to subscribe, as I like using the cars integrated features. My main dilemma and the reason for the post, is what to do with servicing. Audi plan is £36.99 per month for 2 years (you can have one for £35.99 which is 2 services & pollen filter changes, no warranty) 1 x oil service 1 x oil & pollen filter change 2 x mots 2 years road side and warranty How does the above work if its a major service, does the price of the major get reduced with one service knocked off? or just go with an Audi/VW specialist garage I found who seem reasonable. I have 33,500 miles so going to need a Major service at £342 and gear box oil at £258, do these prices below seem fair? 20. Yeah either way I will be keeping on an ear for it over the next while but driving wise it seems fine for now

  22. You're welcome, glad you got sorted 🙂
  23. Afternoon all, So my 07 plate A3 I purchased recently didn't have working AC. I took it to a garage to get regassed and was told it didn't work. I then took the car to a mate who ran his diagnostic tool over it and got the error see in the attached photo. Can anyone give me some clear directions as to where I can locate this sensor as iv done what I feel is a good search and don't seem to have come across it . Originally I thought it was the one behind the glove box, but after replacing that, I found out, that it wasn't that one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Ricky

    HELP?!

Your own cable or a tethered one on the charge point?
  25. Here's some photos
  26. My bet would be the alarm too. The only way to find it would be to trave the wires from the fusebox. This should be obvious as they'll look different to the rest of the stock loom. Unfortunately these aftermarket alarms can be a problem. If you get a chance watch the old top gear challenge with the 3 series convertibles. Hamonds one had a similar problem.
