  2. Same thing has been happening to my car 2011 Audi a3 8p. The end of last summer. And now present start of summer (end of spring). Dashlights out, car shuts off completely. After cooling down between 2-20 min possibly it’ll start. And stall when it reaches a certain temp while driving it.
  3. Hi, I too had this problem and was told by a friend to purchase a Bluetooth radio car kit wireless transmitter. This bypasses the issue altogether and is a relatively simple, cheap solution, with the same reliable media/call features that connects to your car Bluetooth. Audi has always been dogged with these connectivity problems with their MMI systems because of the constantly changing world of mobile phone technology. Martin
  4. Might it be the temperature sensor referenced here? https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-c7-platform-discussion-194/mystery-button-climate-control-2824594/

  6. Hi - thanks for the reply. To the best of my knowledge, they “reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery/sensor for a few minutes”. Basically, they weren’t overly reassuring about having done much. All they could tell me was they looked at the values from it and they were what they expected… I feel somewhat reassured though now, that it’s either not been adapted (is that calibrated?) or that the pedal sensor needs replacing. (Quote marks as I doubt very much that what they did was correct, however it’s what they said!)

Magnet Thanks. Yes it is working at the moment.
  8. Hi guys and girls, I have bought a mk1 TT with the bam engine. It doesn't seem to have boost. I've checked all pipes and they seem good. I have had a code come up for the egt sensor and the engine coolant sensor. Have these been known for causing issues with the turbo please. Or am I going to have to do more investigation into the n75 value 🤔 Thank you.
  9. Hi Steve, yes i’m sure, VCDS works on other car i test everything, the Ecu is faulty Thanks
  10. Thanks Steve, it doesn't go out straight away. But rather than distance travelled before it goes out it might be time ie seconds. I've been working shifts and haven't had a proper chance to get used to the car.
  11. Many thanks for coming back on this Peter, and I think we can agree that this can be concluded as ‘car is fine, driver expectations exceed normal driving style’. Kind regards, Gareth.
  12. Did you ever sort this fault I have the same fault code with my 2009 audi A3 1.9tdi
  13. Hi anything Bosch/Hella you can't go wrong as most of their stuff was used O.E., I had Hella boost and Dpf pressure sensors when I changed mine and you could see where the extra money went, to quote one of Magnets favourite sayings, buy once buy right it is true good advice. Steve.
  14. are you taking the **** (bleep).....only kidding alex...😁 thats a strange one if ive ever heard one lol glad you found the culprit
  15. Hey guys i own a 2018 sq7. On cold starts maybe 2/3 out of 5 of them the engine runs very lumpy/ rough for the first 30 seconds or so. I've spoken to a number of owners, all of whom are having the same issue and they are all too struggling to find the root cause. I've checked the codes and there are no error codes I'd really appreciate responses from people who have managed to resolve this issue. Can someone please help ? Thanks.
  16. So are you going to book it in or not Derek, so you can get a definitive report on this?

  18. I have the problem of steaming up camera wing mirrors. The offside after 3 months of buying my Audi Etron QUATTRO 55. Then both of them 6 months after that all visits under warranty on a 2020 model. I live on the Isle of Lewis so cannot just pop in to the nearest Audi dealer. Today the nearside steamed up again so I carefully removed the bezel and very carefully prized the class screen. I say VERY carefully!! The glass/clear poly carbonate did not break and wiped off all the moisture with a camera lens cleaning cloth. Back to perfect vision then started to mist up a couple of hours later. Very poor design so when there is some really sunny hot weather I will do the same again and let it breath. I am tempted to put a some silica gel bag in the housing and get to the bottom of why moisture is getting in there. This should not happen on a car that is an expensive luxury car.. Richard
  19. Hi on tdi versions (maybe others) it sits above the air filter box, engine compartment passenger side. Could be an expensive electric driven pump up behind the wheel arch passenger side. Its possible to see the cap for the fluid topup way down the engine compartment passenger side behind the headlight unit. Hope thats helpful.
  20. Hi I think S lines had that as standard but maybe thats not the case. Otherwise, the "mirror switch" on the drivers door just to front of the window switches has - left to adjust the passenger door mirror - right for the drivers side - and all the way round to point the switch indent to the rear of the car. The mirrors should then fold in. You may have details in the car documents giving "codes" as to the original fit. There are on-line chats to work the codes out to see in your car was fitted for /with. Hope that helps
  21. Thanks for completing your profile Grace, and for filling in the necessary background detail, and it’s pleasing you have already had progressive advice. I don’t want to hijack the thread, but I think there are a couple of confusing remarks, which would be useful to clarify:- ‘…..garage then decided to fit slave cylinder….’ So are you saying that the slave cylinder was not replaced initially when the remaining clutch components were renewed? Can you establish from the garage, what make of clutch parts were used? Kind regards, Gareth.
  22. The only progress this month is that the car has gone to the fabricators for some welding, hopefully I can then get rid of the spacers and fit the coilovers, the car sits too high as I have removed a lot of weight, the auto weighed a lot compared to the manual gearbox. I will update when the car comes back probably in july some time.
  23. Hi, just joined, Audi A6 2021
  24. Hi everyone I am new to Audi forum. I have bought an Audi Q7 from an online auction without headlights. When I looked at the wiring, I noticed that someone had cut the wires on both sides to release the lights instead of taking the clips off. Now I am left with ten different coloured wires. The headlights use T14 connectors. I have bought the connectors, which have markings 1-14 (pins 8, 9 and 14 are blank) . Can someone help me identify what colour wires will connect to what number of pins? The wire colours on the right side are 2 x brown, white/red, yellow/red, yellow grey, yellow/blue, purple/blue, grey/brown, and grey/black. The wire colours on left are 2x brown, green/black, green/yellow, green/purple, green/grey, green/brown, black/white, Thick yellow/green, thick yellow/black. Thanks in advance
  25. Hi Richard, spot on, my mate reckons still that the ride is much quieter and the grip in the wet is excellent, running a mid range Laufenn made by Toyo on my taxi very good for the money. Steve.
  26. When i first spoke to him he was busy. But after his friend never got intouch he opened up his garage early to look at my car and will be using him fir doing that for me.
  27. Joanne. You can test the Ohme charge point by setting the schedule on its panel. That should tell you if the app/wifi/mobile part of the connection is at fault.
