  2. The other day, i let my younger brother sit in my car and he was playing around with the light switch. The offside bulb went out and everytime i started the car and put the dipped lights on. There was a buzzing noise from the offside lamp followed by the bulb not working message. i took out the headlamp, took the bulb out and put it back in and there were no issues for a couple days. Today ive started the car and the buzzing noise came back and the bulb has gone out again. any idea what it could be?
  3. So the challenge of being in London is that there maybe showrooms, but a local parts window might be harder to find. I got a report like this attached via a contact for my vehicle. Is that what would be covered by a build record, or would I get even more detail? WAUZZZ4E35N013100.pdf
  4. Hi everyone. I back in an Audi A6 c8. Used to have a C5 Rs6 and a C6 Rs6. Anyway, when I pull away from a stand still on full lock with a bit of acceleration I get a horrible noise from the rear. It sounds like the tyres are scrubbing the tarmac. Some people say this is normal due to the mechanical quattro system but surely Audi can't be happy with this? Has anyone else experienced this? I've replaced the diff oil and fitted new tyres but the noise persists. An ugly characteristic?? Thanks Adam
  5. Hello. Yes, this is totally doable and uses the same mounting points for the belts. If you haven't done it already I would be interested in swapping my middle bench seat for your two middle seats, as I came on here to see if there were any available!
  6. thank you ill change them first before tackling anything else
  7. Heel Alan, I think I recall an issue with pressure switches. Worth a thread search across all models. Kind regards, Gareth.
  8. Hi. Does anybody know if there are any spoilers for audi a4 b8 2009 that covers this part of the bumper as there is damage on mine and I'm hoping a spoiler will be cheaper to cover it. Thanks
  9. Nothing ventured nothing gained apart from other prospective buyers on this site.
  10. I had the same problem at my last mot, o/s/r was breaking up. I had it replaced by an independent audi garage for £176. in my opinion, audi dealer prices have now become extortionate.
  11. Hi Gareth, Sorry I just picked up on your question. Graham Goode are based in Leicester. Have you fixed the problem? Kamran
  12. Hi All good people! I retrofited my halogen headlights from standard to auto So I change control switch All it's coded property and works correctly My problem is when I try dimming my dashboard lights on control switch, knob doesn't respond so in night time it's bit too bright dashboard for me and I can't adjust. any one know whats problem can be ? Maybe miss some coding ? thanks A3 Saloon 2015 UK
  13. Hi, the sensors do fail alot on the MK1 TT because of the age of the car, I had to replace my oil pressure sensor last week, I would start with replacing the sensors, they don't normally cause issues with the turbo, it's best to change them anyway, they are not expensive, I would then look at the n75, the pipes are notorious for splitting or even collapsing, I replaced mine with silicone ones, check the PVC valve and the big pipe coming off the turbo
  14. ‘For Sale’ section James. You must decide whether to advertise it now with ‘Available after September’, or leave it until September to actually advertise it. Kind regards, Gareth.
  15. Thanks James, we know Kev is not shouting. Might be worth trying capital J for James, and capital S for Sussex - as is the normal convention.

  17. Hi, The second row is perm live, the bottom row is switched live / accessory. Not sure if yours has parking mode, so you may only need one positive connection but depends what your Garmin model is / says in the manual If you are using piggy back connections then the 2nd fuse covers the amperage for your device.
  18. Thanks James, but if it were mine, I would still be getting the battery efficiency checked, along with the alternator output, to be better equipped to know what is likely to be ahead of you, rather than experience issues in the future. Kind regards, Gareth.
  19. when there is a leak in the foot-wells i always look at wiring plugs that go into the engine bay. common on some cars is where people ran amps via a hole and water from the bay drops down them get some bottles of water, get someone to sit in the car and start to pull water around places to see where it coming from
  20. wont be doing on drivers side, as seat then can go up and down
