  2. Thanks for the link, v helpful.
  3. Hi everyone, I do not have a specific budget, but am just starting down this road. I have looked at prices on Autotrader, EBay and on here to get some ideas. I would guess £3k to £5k but let’s see what is out there please.
  4. Hi, my mmi is playing up, did the one you order work as plug and play? Just trying to figure out my options, mark

  6. Not sure on the A3 im afraid. Maybe someone else can be of more help....
  7. It's a common fault in many Audi models.
  8. Hi Pipe I think is about 38mm. Have found this on ebay 296994527233 The seller does'nt know what its made from and not interested in finding out (strange man) For £40 one would think metal of some sort as the plastic ones are about a tenner
  9. It is getting increasingly difficult to help you Gerry. Any reason why you can’t post a copy of what you have?
  10. Hi Bob, did you manage to sell your car? If not, can you confirm which engine it is and any known faults/issues. thanks richard
  11. Thanks Doug, I have emailed the letter directly to Audi UK, but as you went through your local dealer and they honoured it I think i'll also send them one for good measure. Thanks
  12. Thanks Cliff, There are a lot of factors to consider. There are pros too. I'll do some more research.
  13. This thread should help:
  14. So, I took the car out for an eight or nine-mile trip today - to get some breakfast... ...which was very pleasant. On the way home, in addition to the DPF light (which had been on from the get-go), I got the flashing glow-plug light, shortly followed by the check engine light. The triumvirate of misery... ☹️ When I got home, I plugged Carly in, and after 20 minutes or so, got the following result: The Smart Mechanic says: ...and goes on to say... So, it doesn't tell me much more than the light on the dash. My DPF is clogged and isn't re-genning as it should. No clue as to why... 🤔 It mentions a control unit - anyone know what/where this is please? Thanks, Mike 😎
  15. Once again I can only hear broken audio so all I can suggest is to take the car back for diagnosis.
  16. Glad you had it done and it's made the car nicer. Well done for getting the gearbox remapped too as this often gets overlooked.
  17. Will have a look at the wires you suggested, Watch this space will let you know.
  18. Apologies I've only just seen this. I still have the A6 but no further forward to be honest. They definitely become a labour of love. The issue I've found with the 2.5tdi V6 is parts availablity for the engine now. How are you getting on with yours?
  19. Ideally you'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It might also be worth contacting Audi to see if there's a software update available for the mmi.

  21. Example for the Audi A6 2019 (MY2020). Part list as it did not fit on the screen grab.
  22. Wasted advice I'm afraid Steve. Swansea has not been back to the forum since posting his question.
  23. Yes, no issues again today. I'll see how it goes, will let you know if there's any further developments. Rgds, Rich
  24. Pd engine is a very reliable engine. Check for mayo round the oil filler. Might be worth getting the engine pressure tested. Obviously worse case scenario is a head gasket.
  25. Sorry to hear this. If the warranty company are refusing to honour the unlimited labour rate then I'd argue this is warranty has been miss sold. So the dealer is partly responsible for this. I'd open a case with the motoring ombudsman but you'll be waiting 4 months for a case to be assigned.
  26. I had mine plugged it don't really come up with much they are saying it's a electrical fault between gearbox and brain of car
  27. Thanks Steve, Ill let you know how I get on.
