Try cleaning the electrical connector 1st. If it’s now working, it sounds like either a mechanical or electrical poor/ loose/stiff connection (mechanical connector could be stiff, so not moving with car to axle movement, or damaged?) has to be cheaper than a new level unit. I had to replace one in a Lexus RX450. £500!

My Audi is out of the initial warranty but despite having extended warranty I was assured the repairs were done entirely under the extended 7 year part specific warranty for the alternator…..including the loan car

Hi, I’m new to this forum. We’ve noticed our A4 TFSI makes a very short screeching noise when changing from first gear to second. It can sometimes be an issue going into first gear, particularly if you go from reverse to first. It had its big service and the garage couldn’t see issue.

Hello, and thank you for the informative video. I'm hoping you can give me some insight into a problem I am having with my 2015 ford flex limited. For the last couple of months my flex has developed a stutter between 25 to 45 miles mph. I can see the tach jumping during this stutter.

I think for me as a woman finding an honest mechanic is the biggest "diagnostic^ I could ever perform. Some of these noises are a simple fix but keeping a mechanic honest is definitely the hardest part. I experienced #8 the hot rod noise. Guess what it was? A shady mechanic stoled my catalytic converter and replaced it with a welded pipe. Just yesterday another one replaced a perfectly good engine mount instead of the actual problem which was the arm which is worn out and left it up to me to decide whether to replace the mount or not. So literally all he needed to do was tightened up the old engine mount along with the worn out arm until I returned with the correct part but instead he went ahead and changed a perfectly good part just because he wanted those $40 right then and there. It is 2 am and it's still bothering me so I decided to research further... it's because of people like you, providing educational videos like this that I catch the problems mechanics don't care to find. I just happened to find your video on a totally different subject along the eay.

I think if the cars a keeper then you've gone for a great spec 🙂 especially if it'll be rare.

Think replacing the antenna is your first port of call. You could do a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up

I'm from Brazil and I have an Audi A4 Avant 2005/2006, it had a radio with a factory cassette with 2 din PHOTO Nº 1), now I'm putting in the radio from the A4 2007 with a 6-disc CD (PHOTO 2). Can anyone tell me which socket I can put on it to work correctly without having to adapt it? I've even made a connection with a socket I bought on Aliexpress, but the radio doesn't keep the memory and doesn't turn off when I remove the key from the ignition, and the button lights don't turn on either. If anyone can help me with the correct connection I need to make, I would like to thank you all in advance, a hug.

If your gonna drive it at 70 not even your TDI will give you ideal MPG, I have the 35TDI and commute 300-600 miles a week and I get 70mpg driving at 64-66 no PHEV audi or otherwise will deliver economy booting it at 70, laws of physics wont allow it You can either drive spirited and ignore the MPG or you can drive careful and save your money- cant have it both despite what people say

Will do. starting to think it may be the rack, o ring seal at the track rod end starting go. just had 4 new tyres fitted and they couldn’t adjust the tracking as the near side rod end was seized. So going to replace those and if the leak is there…. and it is just a trickle being pushed out through the impact of the wheel dropping then I will pop some Lucas power steering stop into the fluid. From looking around this is probably my the best course of action. If the leak is more serious then it will be a rack replacement by the look of it. Fingers crossed 🤞it’s a small occasional leak
