1987 Audi 80 gt coupe
Clifford Thanks yeah this the problem I am having I have had a look and I have to say unless it's a quattro they don't seem to be worth a lot not that I am sure I would be selling it but also getting body parts is proving really difficult but it seems a shame to break it for parts.thanks for your feedback.

A4 B9 2021 LED MATRIX HEADLIGHTS
Hi just thought i would let everyone know and stop all the confusion on the virtual cockpit with headlights in Europe. just been to 9 countries on a road trip and never got flashed for my headlights. left them on auto and turned off high beam assist . started the car in France and the headlights automatically adjusted themselves gong by the gps. switched over from mph to kmh in mmi. enjoyed our first long journey in the A4 of approx. 1900kmh. it took me ages to get response from Audi about headlights and found out from my neighbour who works for VW. happy travels.

Andy. In what sense do you mean "worth doing"? If you are looking to recover your financial investment by selling the car at a profit after restoration, that is unlikely so it is not worth doing. On the other hand if you love the car, have endless funds in the bank, and will enjoy the resulting transformation, then it is very worth doing.

1987 Audi 80 gt coupe
Hi everyone I haven't been on for ages but would like to hear some sensible options. Lol. I have a 1987 audi 80 gt coupe that I started to work on it's only done around 38,000 miles but has sat for years, I have the engine out and stripped cleaned painted new timing belt and everything that goes with it. Which for me was the easy part body needs the back panel repaired and corners of front pillars Underneath is still really good but my question is would it be worth doing especially if I put it in somewhere to get body done and resprayed it also needs a sunroof and I am struggling to find a good one at a reasonable price. Would really appreciate your thoughts

Aircon Troubleshooting
Hi Dan, thinking off the top of my head, could there be a leak perhaps, but assume that would have been checked when you went for a re-gas? Another option potentially is the a/c condenser if it's not blowing cold. I'm sure other members will chip in with thoughts/comments but good luck and hope you get it fixed, especially for driving about in the current heatwave! Nick.

Hi I am not trying to frighten you but am merely pointing out what may cause the problems you have, the only realistic solution is to have the car scanned, the only problem with test driving is normally the tester drives like Miss Daisy so as to not alarm the vendor, when I bought my car at a dealers in Warwick we went for the drive with the dealer and my mate who took me up there I made sure the car was well up to operating temperature and drove round until I found a bit of dual carriageway and then gave it beans in every gear with my mate watching the back for smoke, the dealer was not impressed and asked my friend if I always did this to which he replied Oh yeah he is gonna be using it for a taxi and this has just proved it don't smoke, misfire ,or overheat and knock, all the ones I looked at got the same and if they did not like it I walked away. Steve.

Audi S6 track car build
The trim pieces have been kept in case anyone needs the set, I have the 4 door pieces too and apart from a few clips they are in good condition. Once its running again, it will be off to get a roll cage made, as there's nothing available to buy.

Fold Out Black Screen Everything else is working
Hi All - sorry if this has been asked before - I've just bought a beautiful A6 C7 model and after a few days I have had the Screen go black - I know this is a common fault and an easy fix. After pulling out the Dash and the Folding Unit. I can see that the wiring has been repaired before, with some frayed and snapped cables, but attached to the 8-pin plug were 4 wires, 2 of which had snapped at the plug connectors. So I have tidied up the Split Cables, re-soldered and heat-shrunk them so they are a bit more protected. I've also ordered a new 8 Pin Plug - but now I have no idea which wire goes where in the plug...! Does anyone have a picture or a Diagram of where I need to re-plug in the wires? TIA!!!

Electric to petrol
That's going to be difficult if you can't tell us what the warning message said. Presumably the traction battery was low on power.

It's interesting to see behind the dash of a c5. Great work so far! Who's the supplier for your stand alone ECU? And how will hat affect the imobilser?

Electric to petrol
Driving today with 18 miles on electric left, after a few minutes the car changed from electric to petrol. I stopped, turned off and restarted, on electric, then after a few minutes engine changed to petrol. Message about engine came up on the display but cannot remember what it said, it went off very quickly. Any ideas why this is happening?

AUDI A3 2.0 PREMIUM PLUS 2020 wrong fuel level in the tank
Hi its got sod all to do with the tank sensors its the manky gauge every car I have ever come across with that system, Peugeot, Citroen, Dacia its a cheap and nasty bit of kit, you can either get the dealer to recalibrate it, if they can, or ask them where to get virtual fuel. Steve.
