jdmave
Hi All, Returning back to the Audi fold after 4 year break and cant wait for my A6 Avant to arrive (going into build on the 19th March)..... Regards Jdmave
Steve Q
Welcome to the forum Julian, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Bet you can wait to get your a6 and bet you'll be watching the build tracker like a hawk! What car brand have you moved from? Cheers Steve
jdmave
Hi Steve, Absolutely, keep checking the tracker to see if any progression as not progressed now for 10 days (feels like forever). I'm coming back to Audi from Landrover (2015 Discovery 4) but as my job involves very high mileage a car normally only lasts with me around 24 months however the disco has been a little bit longer as it's been hiding in the LR dealers for quite a bit as on 3rd engine as a few months warranty work. Regards Julian Ps...I've read the forum rules
Steve Q
That's the thing with landys. They're nice vehicles especially the Disco 4 which will be a future classic (not a fan of the new ones!) But soo unreliable it's unreal! You've got the ideal car for the motorway miles :) Thanks for reading the rules :) Cheers Steve
jdmave
Your not wrong there, the drive of the disco has always been great (when running) and i'll miss the high up seating as makes for fantastic visability but count myself lucky as still have my LR Defender 90 TD5 (just cant bring myself to part with it. Just hoping I've got the spec right on my A6, I have been reading through the A6 forums to see what others gone for or their ownership experience....as had lots of deliberation as to which of the 3.0 TDI's to go for (little one loads of spec or bigger one butvery basic spec) My Spec A6 Avant 3.0TDi 272bhp Black Edition Daytona Grey 20" 5 spoke star design wheels Tech Pack High Pano Roof Super Sports Seats Heads Up Nightvision (compensation for not being so high up lol) Regards Julian

richyhu
That's a great spec A6 there Julian - congratulations. I'm not sure where you are in Sussex, but we have an office near the Ashdown Forest and I sometimes wish I had the night vision option driving back through the country lanes in winter! jdmave
Hi Richard, Thankyou for the congrats and definately looking forward to its arrival......., its a company car but I always treat it likes it my very own. The spec was obviously down to budget they had given me..so narrowed it down to either A6 Avant Blk Ed BiTdi 320 Daytona Grey Tech Pack Advance Or A6 Avant Blk Ed 272 Daytona Grey Tech Pack Advance Pano Roof Heads Up Night Vision Super Sports Seats I live down on the coast near Seaford but cover 50 - 60k miles per annum for work including Europe so hopefully this car will tick all the boxes (kicking myself as forgot to add Matrix Lights Arghhhhhhhh), I'm the end i thought best to go with the slower car but have toys to play with whilst covering the distances...
