Hopefully someone on here can help with a problem with my indicators/turn signals on my 57 plate avant.

Sometimes when I signal right, the left side flash a couple of times before changing to the right side. Signalling left is fine.

I have spent many hours searching online and am wondering whether the indicator stalk could be the culprit? Don't want to spend out on wrong part. Any suggestions? I have scanned several times with vagcom since this intermittent fault started and nothing showing up. Any help gratefully received.

my thoughts are the same as you and would say the indicator stalk is the likely culprit.

Many thanks for your help. Forum seems to be very helpful from what I can see which is why I joined 🙂. I have been quoted £147 supply and fit for a new stalk so will get that done when I get the chance 🙂

I am happy to report that changing the stalk has 100% solved the problem.
