B6 Avant 1.9tdi

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Needed a workhorse, found this B6 Avant 1.9tdi owned by a mechanic who took it from standard to as you see it, a credit to him

Have owned a good few Audis including a RS2 , TT and a 80 Avant 1.9 diesel in Spain which was a total replica of a RS2 without the regular petrol stops!

Anyway, this Avant has 212k miles, but drives fantastic, bodywork very good, a few rust spots on wings, will sort that out..new front wings fitted,

Engine is standard, pulls very well still, no need to remap or do anything to it, just drive it..

Great service history, I am only the fifth owner from new. Amazed at how smooth it is considering the suspension, am no spring chicken, not a fan of getting my back rattled by a very stiff suspension.

Front tyres catching wings at times, am going to raise it one centimetre , see how it goes...

Only the a/c not working, usual eco mode on constantly, has gas, maybe the pressure valve, need it scanned..

OBD2 scanners, any recommendations?

Also, anyone use a Ultraguage OBD2 scanner guage  on one of these?

Thanks in advance
