Hi, when I close the Boot on my Q3, once its shut it makes this clicking noise for a few seconds just after its locked in. Does anyone know what this could be please?

Did you figure this out please? Mine has started doing it recently. Boot closes and pulls in close as normal and then I get a sound like a servo triggering repeatedly, or a gear skipping, maybe?

Just found the solution in case anyone else is looking. I simply pressed down on the boot lid from the outside as it closed. It didn’t make the noise. Opened and closed it as normal a few times after and it’s fine now. Must’ve been something blocking it - dirt, rubbers lifted a little, not sure. But the noise has stopped.

Did you resolves this? My Q3 has started doing the same (it has the electric tailgate - which on setting continues to 'run' for a few seconds)...

I  fitted a new unit from Audi,and then decided to check the faulty one,I  opened up the unit(strike plate with motor)and found the main gear's teeth was damaged.

New unit from Audi cost me £260
