had an 8p a3 cr170 for a few weeks and with the engine cover i have discovered this tapping noise, you can hear it over the ticking noise which i assume is the injectors, just wanting to know if its normal? tia 

When does the noise occur? I'e when engine is cold or warm?

140k and tbf ive never fully checked, but that was after a motorway drive of about 60 miles, i think it does do it cold too, but id have to check.

Cold start this morning, started to hear it after idle settled down.

Listening to the video there seems to be a slight whine noise too. The tapping does seem loud, but it's definitely worth checking to see if it happens when engine is warm.

That was with engine warm mate. Its due an oil change etc so il do that and see what happens.
